Wellesley Manor Apartments, a Kelson Group-owned property in Abbotsford, has recently undergone some exciting upgrades, resulting in a fresh and modern look for the building. We caught up with the building manager, Dave Somerville, to find out more.

Dave has managed Wellesley Manor for 13 years and takes great pleasure in his interactions with the residents. He explained that the upgrades were necessary to elevate the building, complement Wellesley Court, and create a more enjoyable and comfortable space for the existing residents. The upgrades included the replacement of the balcony deck and railings, renovation of the laundry room, and installation of new lighting, carpeting, and paint throughout the hallways and common areas. The apartments now boast new mailboxes, new flooring and décor in the lobby and smart locks on suite doors.

The interior renovation took approximately three months to complete and has received extremely positive feedback from the residents, who love the new look and feel of the building. The new mailboxes and washing machines have been particularly well-received.

“We have received compliments for the upgrades not only from the residents but also their visitors,” said Dave.

When asked about any future upgrades, Dave stated that he was not currently aware of any. However, the recent upgrades align with Kelson Group’s overall mission to provide residents with comfortable living spaces.

“We are always striving to provide apartments and suites that help residents live better. The upgrade has improved the appearance and is an attractive building in Abbotsford that makes it a positive choice for future residents,” Dave said.

The renovations were completed efficiently, with consistent communication with residents to minimize disruptions.
